It seems that there are alot in development. QCad looks good but too small, like you point out. Varicad is real close. I looked at Arcad http://www.arcad.de/index.htm which seems promising. I downloaded the trial version and will keep you posted on my impressions. It is expensive for the full version, which I will pay if I have too.
