I noticed a couple hours ago that there were some new files (Mozilla) in/etc/sysconfig/rhn/rhnsd
the fedora upgrade directories. Indeed, I received a notice of these

ahead with an upgrade of these Mozilla files, I thought I'd wait until
my Notification icon turned into a red bang. Does anyone have any idea about how long that takes? Is that period of
time configurable?
Fedora Core doesn't use this. The applet checks every 4 hours, this default value is hardcoded I asumed changing this would make people abuse the feature, apparently I was right :-)
I set mine to 30.

Does the rhn-applet always check w/RedHat or does it look at the configured yum directories?
I have configured all of my Fedora Core systems to point to a local yum repository and I'm wondering if the rhn-applet looks there or looks at redhat.
