Just wondering if all modems are having problems or just certain ones (like my old internal ISA modem). Comcast still isn't up. Those idiots are so incompetent that I like will not be able to get my cable modem running for quite a while. So I'd like to buy an external modem today while I wait for DSL. Does anyone know if all modems are having a problem or just certain ones? An external serial modem should work fine, right? Preston
