Go to http://www.xmms.org and download version 1.2.8. Remove the installed Xmms from FC1 and install the rpm you just downloaded. The "official" version will play mp3's without any problems ;-) PatrickM "All you have to decide, is what to do with the time that is given to you..." --- On Mon 11/17, Jonathan Villa < jvilla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > wrote: From: Jonathan Villa [mailto: jvilla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx Date: Mon, 17 Nov 2003 11:36:13 -0600 Subject: Xmms and MP3's I have xmms-1.2.8-1.p.i386.rpm installed and of course, by default it will not play mp3's. I can only find xmms-mp3-1.2.7-13.p.i386.rpm which will not install with with 1.2.8. If I try to install xmms-1.2.7 I can't. Anyone know where I download the correct xmms-mp3 or whatever so I listen to my legal mp3's? _______________________________________________ No banners. No pop-ups. No kidding.
