Go to http://www.xmms.org and download version 1.2.8.

Remove the installed Xmms from FC1 and install the rpm you just downloaded.
The "official" version will play mp3's without any problems ;-)

Subject: Xmms and MP3's

I have xmms-1.2.8-1.p.i386.rpm installed and of course, by default it
will not play mp3's. I can only find xmms-mp3-1.2.7-13.p.i386.rpm which
will not install with with 1.2.8. If I try to install xmms-1.2.7 I
can't.

Anyone know where I download the correct xmms-mp3 or whatever so I
listen to my legal mp3's?
