Maybe something I said, still no joy. I've just tried with and without the revised locations in the sources file, no luck to both. I am still getting connection timeout errors. Incidentally, I can access the page http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/1/i386/yum/os alright from a separate mozilla window on the same fedora box. Proxy is set to be the same using up2date --configure. ============================================================================ ====================== Mon Nov 17 16:30:08 GMT 2003 Fetching package list for channel: fedora-core-1... As of now, whatever was broken over the weekend seems to be working again. -- Dave On Mon, 2003-11-17 at 05:13, Fedoraman wrote: > Edit the /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources file and change to the followng: > > yum fedora-core-1 > http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/1/i386/yum/os > yum updates-released > http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/1/i386 > yum updates-testing > http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/testing/1/i3 > 86 > > Chiu, PCM (Peter) writes: > > > Having mounted the first fedora system on Friday, I then tried > > downloading patches using up2date from fedora.redhat.com. > > No joy on various attempts over the weekend. > > > > No response to ping, although traceroute seems to reach > > ncsugsr-gw-to-ncni-oc48.ncni.net, then get a lot of stars. > > > > At the same time, up2date on a RH9 box nearby works swiftly (in a > > matter of seconds.) > > > > > > > > -- > > fedora-list mailing list > > fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx > > http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list > > > > -- > fedora-list mailing list > fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx > http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list -- Dave Roberts <ldave@xxxxxxxxxxxx> -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
