It's not necessary as there are ample header fields to sort your mail into the folder of your choice; take your message for example: To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx X-loop: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx Sender: fedora-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx X-BeenThere: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx Reply-To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx List-Help: <mailto:fedora-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=help> List-Post: <mailto:fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx> List-Subscribe: <http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list>, <mailto:fedora-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=subscribe> List-Id: For users of Red Hat Linux releases <fedora-list.redhat.com> List-Unsubscribe: <http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list>, <mailto:fedora-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe> List-Archive: <http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/> It's a pretty rare mail program that won't sort mail on at least one or more of these fields. Adding that to the subject is just that much more visual clutter that you have to look past and takes up too much space in an already crowded screen. For people who sort it's entirely redundant to see a whole column of messages in a folder with all of them starting out [Whatever-list]. Regards, Mike Klinke
