A good example is iptables. I don't get why (some) people think that editing /etc/sysconfig/iptables (or doing an "iptables -A") is more complicated than using one of the many GUI firewall tools. I know my TCP inside out, but those gooeys confuse the hell out of me. I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about text-based config files. XML config files ... well that's another story. - [H]omer
