times font and UTF-8

Hi all,

When I start xfig on my home box (long history of updates, currently at FC 1)
I see this:
Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-times-medium-r-normal--16-*-*-*-*-*-*-*,-*-*-medium-r-normal--16-*-*-*-*-*-*-*,*--16-*" to type FontSet
Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-times-medium-r-normal--16-*-*-*-*-*-*-*,-*-*-medium-r-normal--16-*-*-*-*-*-*-*,-*-*-*-r-*--16-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" to type FontSet

If I start xfig thusly:
LANG=en_US xfig
then it keeps quiet.

I suppose there is some glue missing somewhere for the times font for UTF-8.
Is there any file I can edit to provide an alias, or some such ?

Sorry, I don't know much about how font encoding is supposed to work...

TIA for any info.

Cheers,
					Christian
