Build summary (downloaded from audacity.sourceforge.net): audacity-1.0.0 - successful audacity-1.2.0-pre3 - successful FYI, on my ALSA-enabled RH8 box, I have successfully compiled Audacity-1.2.0-pre3 with the --with-portaudio=v19 switch.
