Mouse still not work :((( I've recompiled my kernel with CONFIG_USB_HIDINPUT set to "y" but there is still one error in the /var/log/messages. I have no idea what this means and what I should do now. I recompiled the kernel a few times with included USB support and as modules. I try to include the mouse support etc. But nothing helps. I've see that there are the same errors if I boot with the standard fedora kernel(missing.....hid and missing....mousedev error in /var/log/messages). So maybe there's something wrong outside the kernel. But I've no idea what?!? Sorry I'm a newbe. If anyone knows something, please tell. Importend to say is, that i've upgraded from RH8 to fedora. Can it be that an old config or script is left that is responsible for that? The error happends when I connect the mouse to the USB port. /var/log/messages: Nov 10 22:43:33 mobilesa kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:1d.0-1, assigned address 4 Nov 10 22:43:33 mobilesa kernel: : USB HID v1.10 Mouse [Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse] on usb1:4.0 Nov 10 22:43:36 mobilesa usb.agent[1954]: missing kernel or user mode driver mousedev thanks 4 help arn > On Sun, 9 Nov 2003 23:58:16 +0100 (CET), arn wrote: > >> I've compiled a custom kernel based on the redhat >> config.
