Vertical slight shuddering? Somehow an interlaced video mode?

Horizontal shuddering that gets worse the further right you go? Saw this on
my Inspiron 5150 with twinview - workaround was to use Fn-F8 at boot-time so
the BIOS inited the video card properly for the second head. Somehow I don't
think that's quite your situation, but the point is possibly a solution can
come from your BIOS.

Lastly, could it be that with the refresh rate that has been selected, the
video card is exceeding the bandwidth of your monit-KABOOM!!!
