Hi,

I have installed FC1 and have been very impressed. It boots in
uni-processor mode happily.

My DELL Inspiron 5150 has a 3Ghz Pentium which according to the BIOS is
HT capable. FC1 installed a SMP kernel, but booting SMP via grub results
in:

...
CPU: Physical Processor ID: 0
Intel machine check reporting enabled on CPU0.
CPU0: Intel Genuine Intel(R) CPU 3.06Ghz stepping 09
...
Booting processor 1/1 eip 3000
Not responding
Error: only one processor enabled.

Thanks,
Peter.
