exporting display to Fedora box

Has anyone else had this problem? I wanted to test some applications
remotely and export the display from box A to box B, which is running
Fedora. It does not render at all. I have flushed the iptables rules on
both systems to no avail.
I did the standard command on box A.
  # export DISPLAY=xx.xx.xx.xx:0.0
With xx.xx.xx.xx being the fedora box or Box B
And then did a
  # xhost +
on box B or Fedora so it would accept incoming X connections.
Just curious why this would be so.
