e1000 not working after install

Hi,

I'm using an ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe mainboard, which has an Intel
GigE chip... supported by the e1000 driver.

Installing FC1 via VNC worked without problems, but now when
using the installed system, eth0 is nonfunctional. The e1000
driver is reporting "transmit timed out" when trying to use the
interface.

Stock RH9 kernel didn't support the chip, up-to-date RH9 kernel
2.4.20-20.9 does. FC1 kernel while installing does, installed
system kernel doesn't. Sounds like a weird regression to me.

Anyone else seeing this problem?

Regards,
Daniel
