Syskonnect _patch_ is for a _clean_ kernel and doesn't apply well to RH kernel. Get http://syskonnect.com/syskonnect/support/driver/zip/linux/install-618.tar.bz2 , replace drivers/net/sk98lin/* with these files. And rebuild it again. -- HTML mails are going to trash automagically
