Just curious if anyone has had a similar experience:

2.4.22-1.2115.nptlsmp doesn't boot, but 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl does on my
Dell Precision 610 (Pentium 3/500, 256Megs Ram, 2x9 gig SCSI drives)

It gets to the point of "loading kernel" and then hangs. The non SMP
boots perfectly.

Any ideas?
