/dev/hda6/yarrow/yarrow-i386-disc1.iso: Not a directory
Weird...
Not weird, at all. You can't mount a file from a device. You need to actually specify the path, as it is actually mounted. If /dev/hda6 is actually mounted at /usr/local/discs, then you want to mount /usr/local/discs/yarrow/yarrow-i386-disc1.iso.
Thank you! It works. I did:
# mount -o loop,ro /mnt/mandrake/yarrow/yarrow-i386-disc1.iso /mnt/cdrom
First, I had to mount the device/partition to moint point /mnt/mandrake Second, I had to mount the complete path to /mnt/cdrom
Now I guess I should be able to install packages as if this mount point were a virual CDROM?
I love being able to help.
Just one more little quetion: do I need to mount the ISO's 2 & 3 also?
Only if you need something from those CDs. If what you need is on disc1, you can live with that.
