I tried several cards. No problem found with
-  Compaq WL 110 (NIC 5019)
-  HP WL 110 (renamed Compaq)

both use orinoco drivers and are recognized and configured by fedora
automatically.

Best results I got with D-Link 660 (orinoco, too, and automatically
configured). In environements, where I didn't get a connection due to
weak signal levels using Compaq, HP, Cisco and others I got a reasonable
connection quality using D-Link 660.
