Hey Harry,
Did you try mirrors? Check /etc/yum.conf
[base] baseurl=http://wftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/fedora-core/$releasever/$basearch/os
[updates-released] baseurl=http://wftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/fedora-core/updates/$releasever/$basearch
There is a list of mirrors on fedora.redhat.com

[update: kernel-source 2.4.22-1.2135.nptl.i386]
[update: bash 2.05b-34.i386]
[update: kernel-doc 2.4.22-1.2135.nptl.i386]
[update: gphoto2-devel 2.1.3-1.i386]
[update: gphoto2 2.1.3-1.i386]
Is this ok [y/N]: y
Getting kernel-2.4.22-1.2135.nptl.i686.rpm
kernel-2.4.22-1.2135.nptl 100% |=========================| 96 kB 05:16
error: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: headerRead failed: hdr blob(122881): BAD, read returned 97848

It seems to be taking ages to get this message and I wondered if it was because the server was failing to respond or something, and if so, what alternatives to the standard FC1 repo's I can try to get the released updates?
