Hi,
I have noticed that my up2date icon is always blue. Whenever I check for updates it tells me that there are some and will run through the processes of fetching and installing fine. Everything except the automated function of checking my system against (I guess) RHN. Any ideas what I have set wrong?
The rhn-applet works fine for me. Even though the Server-URL configured in /etc/sysconfig/rhn/rhn-applet points to an RHN-Server, Fedora systems seem to be checking against the default yum-repository configured in /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources:
yum fedora-core-1 http://fedora.redhat.com/releases/fedora-core-1 yum updates-released http://fedora.redhat.com/updates/released/fedora-core-1
I've had the same problem after i commented out those lines (i'm using a private apt-repo. So i normally wouldn't need the default yum-repo). After i commented them in again, the Notification-Applet was working as expected again.
Afaik it's not even possible to subscribe to RHN with a fedora-system.
