Title: Problems with compiling my own kernel from www.kernel.org

Hi,

When i use the kernel 2.4.23 from www.kernel.org and i compile it for my servers, everything looks fine.
But i can see some daemons don't start and some go bezerk, because they are started a 100 times.
Somebody told me that Red Hat/Fedora patches the kernel the deliver with NTPL (Native Posix Thread Library).
I would really like to use my own kernel.
Today 2.6.0 kernel has been released for production.
Are there people how don't have the same problem as i do??

Regards,

Rob
