I had no probs with RH9. The question is, did RH9 use the -l option in
it's umount/eject routine and fedora doesn't and it's a software bug (as

thinks this, I have a LG GCC-4320B CD-R/W DVD.

I don't think that it is related to your drive. I have the same problem
with a Ricoh CDRW drive.
