Ok, that makes sense, but (and I could be wrong) doesn't that happen automatically with other distributions (I just came from SuSE 9)?
I don't know about other distros (I've dabbled a bit, but not enough to remember this particular issue), but Red Hat has been handling su the same way for a long time. The behavior isn't new to Fedora Core.
