Intel box is a Standard Compaq, ATA system.
AMD is an average SATA drive. (ST1360)

(Incidentally, this fc1_x86 on 2.6-test11... and I *think* *everything*
now works, with the possible exception of rhythmbox, but then I use
xmms.. Alsa is fun!)
