The formula is: > > video RAM needed (in MB) = (width x height x number-of-bits)/1048576 for mark (as he said before in the list I've just 8Mo) and my resolution is 1024x768 so the calcul should be : 1024x768x16/1048576=12 therefore i run X in 1024x768 in 16bits and that's work (with just 8Mo and not 12.... Is my calcul corrects ???? Or i have more than 8Mo ????? Which could the better way to be sure of that ??? how to be sure of number of bits use by X ( by Command line ??? or with gnome or kde) thanks regards > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > - Rick Stevens, Senior Systems Engineer rstevens@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - > - VitalStream, Inc. http://www.vitalstream.com - > - - > - Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else. - > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > > > -- > fedora-list mailing list > fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe: http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
