For true hardware raid, and not some winraid crap like Promise, I'd 
recommend the 3ware 7006-2 card for parallel (roughly $130 USD) or the 
3ware 8006-2 card for SATA (sameish price).

For SCSI, I'd recommend the LSI Megaraid.
