Yes, you can update to fedora via the net with apt I do believe. You have to have the right repositories set up. You can also use yum to do the same thing if I"m not mistaken. I don't know the syntax for that so maybe this doesn't help you. But I've heard of other people doing exactly that. Unless my memory is faulty. ^_^ Which is typically is not.
