Hey group,

Has anyone gotten Oracle 9i to run under FC1? I really only need to
install the client, though a dev DB on my laptop would be nice.
I followed the RH9 how-to with no luck. I was also having problems with
a commercial Netlock VPN client under FC1 that just would not work. I
installed the latest 2.4.20 kernel from RH9 under FC1 and the Netlock
VPN client works now, though Oracle still does not.

When I put the first CD for Oracle 9i 9.2.0.1 in and run:

/mnt/cdrom/runInstaller

I get the following errror:

Initializing Java Virtual Machine from
/tmp/OraInstall2003-12-06_07-23-36AM/jre/bin/java. Please wait...
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Unable to load native library:

__libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link
time reference

Is there any way to get this to work with the FC1 2.4.22 or RH9 2.4.20
kernel?

Thanks,
