Depends on what you are doing. You have to start with the logical
partitions inside each extended partition, then the extended
partitions, all in reverse of their numerical order. Also, there may
be partitions that some versions of fdisk can't see.

If all else fails, "dd if=/dev/null of=/dev/hda bs=512 count=2" will
seriously delete all and any partitions with extreme prejudice.
