Its better to spend your time on something else while you're waiting for the right answer from the mailing list (not that this is necessarily the right answer :) So long as you haven't deleted anything, your pc can be fixed with no doubt a few simple commands. The first one being suggested already: grub-install It _should_ find all the grub files ok, since they're in /boot, and then repost with your results.
