CONFIG_ACPI_VIDEO depends on BACKLIGHT_CLASS_DEVICE, which, in turn is
enabled by FB_BACKLIGHT. So we can narrow it down further, can you try?
CONFIG_FB_BACKLIGHT=y
CONFIG_ACPI_VIDEO=n
