No significant difference that I can tell. I've attached the whole log from boot to power-down. That's with both this patch and the previous patch. If you want just one, I can do that as well...

Then, a series of obsolete STANDBY failures. Who's issuing these commands? It's not libata, libata uses STANDBY (0xe2). Is it some kind of gentoo thing?
