Ups, I missed at32stk1002_defconfig.

In this case, the simple patch below is the solution instead.

I can only test the compilation due to lack of hardware, but using your 
patches it was easy building binutils 2.16.1 and gcc 4.0.3 cross 
compilers.

This patch sets KBUILD_DEFCONFIG for enabling "make defconfig".
