Are you sure? I do not see how that can happen. Below is the harness
with your proposed sequence: the last patch that I posted properly
rejects it.
The harness is just a stand-alone C program, you can compile it on any
machine and test your sequence: maybe I misunderstood the minor ranges
you intended.
