I downloaded 2.6.18-rc3 tarball from http://www.kernel.org directly.
Perhaps you mean the git tree, not 2.6.18-rc3?

I couldn't get git tree, but I could rebase my patches against
2.6.18-rc3, and delete the pci_reg patch. Is it ok for you?
