just load fakephp

then do 
echo -n 0 > /sys/bus/pci/slots/0000:04:02.1/power
this hotunplugs it (fake)

then just do

echo -n 1 > /sys/bus/pci/slots/0000:04:02.0/power
(or any other device on the 04 bus) and the kernel finds the 04:02.1
device again...
