I have tried 'amrestore' on my machine with 2.6.16.18 but was not able to
reproduce the problem. However, there are many differences in our setups:
- mine is uniprocessor Athlon64, yours dual Opteron
- my SCSI HBA sym53c1010, yours Adaptec 39160D (aic7899)
- different tape drives (should not matter)
- my compiler gcc version 4.0.2 20050901 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux), yours
gcc version 3.4.3 20041125 (Gentoo 3.4.3-r1, ssp-3.4.3-0, pie-8.7.7)

This stack trace does not easily tell what is happening:-( Starting from
the bottom, up to scsi_execute_async it looks like a tape read (st_sleep_done
is in the trace because it is parameter to scsi_execute_async). Above that
I can't visualize what is happening. scsi_execute_async does not call
either bio_free or kmem_cache_free.
