Linux 2.6.16.9 + oops in block_write_full_page()

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

[1.] One line summary of the problem:
Oops after some days of uptime.

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:

After some days of uptime, an oops appeared in dmesg. I was
able to log in to this linux box through ssh (using IP over
eth0). If I tried to execute a sync command, it was not
returned.

The other thing I recognise was that in 'top' program the line:

Cpu(s): x% us, x% sy, x% ni, x% id, x% wa, x% hi, x% si

the 'wa' was at 90...100%.

After rebooting the system it has now 8 hours of uptime
without oops.
I include the information after reboot except the dmesg log
which is original at point 6.

[3.] Keywords (i.e., modules, networking, kernel):

[4.] Kernel version (from /proc/version):

(Debian 1:3.3.5-13)) #2 Sat Apr 22 16:42:31 CEST 2006

[5.] Most recent kernel version which did not have the bug:

[6.] Output of Oops.. message (if applicable) with symbolic
information
     resolved (see Documentation/oops-tracing.txt)
