No, it's /sys/block/hdc/dev (22:0 here on 2.6.12). Makes sense to have it there if you have multiple driver-generated device node entries for the same physical device. I'm thinking of usb multi-function devices here in particular (disk+bluetooth, video+hid [dvb+remote control that is]).
