[1] Oops: 0002 [#1] ("Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference
at virtual address 00000040")
[2] The Oops is occuring during the init stage of things. It
consistently happens after I get the message that it is starting cupsd
(cups version 1.1.23-r7). I cannot say whether the problem is because of
cups, because cups *appears* to load ok, and because running
"/etc/init.d/cupsd restart" does *not* cause an oops.

If you need anymore information, or for the kernel to be recompiled with
frame pointers and / or debug info, etc etc etc, I would be happy to
provide it. Please tell me how it all works out,
