I have booted linux a number of times with an NT drive as a slave and
recovered it. I have not ever done the inverse...
ok, that rambled...
I meant that I did not need to do that with linux... just used a
floppy/cd/usb drive and edited files...
With NT the only way I "recovered" was with a well timed backup of
registry.dat or a binary image of the whole system...
Nothing incremental about it...
