Patch 3 of 8

The spinlock is in place because the same variable is used in the interrupt
handler. During testing we found it was possible for the interrupt handler
to fire and try to do some work on a disk that was being deleted. Only happens 
on SMP systems.
Replaced kmalloc/memset with kzalloc.
Replaced spaces with tabs, everything looks right now. Apologies.
