Oh, one other things that's totally annoying and makes reading the
code a pain are the line-length and comment style.  Please wrap
lines after 80 chars and use normal

/* foobar, blagg */

or 

/*
 * fvsfafsfasdrfasddddddddddddddddddddd
 * fdsfsfdsfsdf
 * sdfsdfs
 */
