Hello linux, I've got an error while compiling stock kernel 2.6.12.3 downloaded from kernel.org. .config is attached. Bug is probably the side effect of the partially stuck enter key over the ssh session while doing make config. *brown bag with blushed face behind* Of course, disabling all of the ATY FB driver entries fixed the bug. p.s. please CC: me in the replies if any, as I'm not subscribed to the list. * tail of the compiler output: LD arch/i386/lib/built-in.o CC arch/i386/lib/bitops.o AS arch/i386/lib/checksum.o CC arch/i386/lib/delay.o AS arch/i386/lib/getuser.o CC arch/i386/lib/memcpy.o CC arch/i386/lib/mmx.o AS arch/i386/lib/putuser.o CC arch/i386/lib/strstr.o CC arch/i386/lib/usercopy.o AR arch/i386/lib/lib.a GEN .version CHK include/linux/compile.h UPD include/linux/compile.h CC init/version.o LD init/built-in.o LD .tmp_vmlinux1 drivers/built-in.o(.text+0x29259): In function `atyfb_xl_init': drivers/video/aty/xlinit.c:256: undefined reference to `aty_st_lcd' make: *** [.tmp_vmlinux1] Error 1 * GCC version: rei:~/speedy/linux-2.6.12.3 # gcc -v Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-suse-linux/3.3.3/specs Configured with: ../configure --enable-threads=posix --prefix=/usr --with-local-prefix=/usr/local --infodir=/usr/share/info --mandir=/usr/share/man --enable-languages=c,c++,f77,objc,java,ada --disable-checking --libdir=/usr/lib --enable-libgcj --with-gxx-include-dir=/usr/include/g++ --with-slibdir=/lib --with-system-zlib --enable-shared --enable-__cxa_atexit i586-suse-linux Thread model: posix gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux) -- Best regards, speedy mailto:[email protected]
