This mailing list isn't for either Red Hat or installation issues.  

That said, Red Hat 9.0 is old, unsupported, and predates SATA.  You'd
be much better off trying to get Fedora installed on that machine, and
contact the Red Hat Fedora mailing lists if you have problems.
