Updating an iso image

I'd like to automate the process of keeping an iso image current with updates that are released.  I googled a bit and didn't see anything, but does anyone know if there's anything that exists that rsyncs (or whatever) the updated packages from an update mirror, determines if there's an existing older version of that package in Packages/ and removes that older package?

Cheers
