Just wanted to say thank-you personally. This email proves that I
finally(!) got the configuration correct! I got hung up for a while
until I realized I was trying to send the email to the pop3 server
instead of the outgoing smtp server. DUMB!

Turns out I was looking at the right WWW page (sendmail
configurationReadme), but using your link, I was able to find the text
that spoke about sendmail in client mode. From there, I was able to
find JonFullmer's page, which put everything in terms I could
understand. I tested my connection using telnet to my ISP's server port
25, and determined that my user IDs all worked (in Base64), and from
there I (eventually) found the wrong server name.

Much thanks again!
