There is some work you need to do (it's not that straight).  Do a google
search on: livecd lvm partition

I just checked and there are a couple of pages that will help you even
though you'll be inspecting the partition from your actual system (and
not a live cd) but the principle is the same: you're trying to read an
LVM partition that's not part of your running system.
