It seems pretty clear that this seems to be standard practice. I reported
a similar bug and registered negative karma and the set was pushed
anyway. Even though sunbird was completely broken. I also told them what
was wrong, how to fix it, and suggested a change in the build system, since
I had seen the same bug introduced twice and didn't see a prompt response
with a fixed update.
