    Strange, that is enabled here also, same version of VLC, and I had
    been using it routinely until the other day when it simply refused
    to save anything. Click on Video > Snapshot and the menu drops out
    and there's nothing saved in the file as before. Only thing I see is
    some yum updates. Beats me, XFCE has a snapshot function that works.
    I was just annoyed by the VLC function failing.
